Saudi Post Issues Commemorative Stamp Marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Saudi Post | SPL has issued a set of commemorative stamps valued at 3 riyals to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, observed annually on December 3. Countries around the world, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, celebrate this occasion to reinforce the importance of supporting persons with disabilities, empowering them to achieve their ambitions, enhancing their quality of life, safeguarding their rights, and ensuring their participation in all activities and events by highlighting their talents and diverse abilities.

The stamps were unveiled during a ceremony organized by the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities in celebration of this international day. The event also featured the launch of a campaign titled “Say It Right,” which emphasizes the correct and officially approved terminology for referring to persons with disabilities. The stamp design showcases several individuals with disabilities who participated in the campaign. The Authority continues to work collaboratively with various sectors to enhance service quality and raise awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities.

It is worth noting that the commemorative stamps issued by Saudi Post | SPL reflect major national events as well as significant international occasions. Each stamp is designed to capture an important moment or to commemorate a notable scene in Saudi history, making them an ideal choice for stamp collectors worldwide and for historians interested in documenting history.
