His Excellency Eng. Anef bin Ahmad Abanomi, President of Saudi Post | SPL, participated in the 28th Universal Postal Union Congress held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from September 8th to 19th, 2025. The Congress brings together representatives from 192 countries to discuss the future of the postal sector and enhance its role in sustainable development.
During his participation, His Excellency held a series of bilateral meetings with prominent postal leaders to explore areas of mutual cooperation in postal innovation, parcel services development, and digital transformation, in addition to sustainability initiatives aligned with global trends. The discussions also focused on opportunities to advance postal services, strengthen their contribution to sustainable development, and exchange expertise to accelerate innovation and digital transformation in the postal sector.
As part of strengthening bilateral relations, Saudi Post | SPL signed a memorandum of cooperation with Morocco Post. The memorandum was signed by H.E. Eng. Anef Abanomi, President of Saudi Post | SPL, and His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Amin Benjelloun, Director General of Morocco Post. The agreement aims to provide postal services to pilgrims and Umrah performers, enhance the exchange of postal products in all forms, and utilize modern methods and technologies in postal operations. The memorandum underscores SPL’s commitment to expanding its regional and international partnerships to promote integration in postal services.
