His Excellency Eng. Anef Abanomi, President of Saudi Post | SPL, praised the Council of Ministers’ decision to adopt the National Address as the sole source for addressing within the Kingdom and to standardize property numbering on digital maps according to the unified national numbering standard. He emphasized that this step represents a pivotal transformation in supporting spatial infrastructure, enhancing the urban planning and digital transformation journey in the Kingdom, and unifying efforts in the field of addressing.
His Excellency explained that this decision will help unify spatial references and increase data reliability, which will directly improve planning accuracy and operational efficiency across many sectors, especially transportation and logistics. Moreover, it supports the rapid digitization efforts in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
He pointed out that Saudi Post | SPL, as a geospatial enabler, plays a fundamental role in building a unified and comprehensive addressing system based on best practices and international standards. This system serves various segments of society, including citizens, residents, government entities, and the private sector.
