Saudi Post | SPL and Dammam Airports Sign Agreement to Enhance Logistics and Postal Services at King Fahd International Airport

Saudi Post | SPL and Dammam Airports have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at developing and enhancing logistics and postal services at King Fahd International Airport. This collaboration contributes to supporting the National Aviation Strategy, which stems from the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 to transform the Kingdom into a global logistics hub connecting three continents.

The agreement outlines the collaboration between SPL and Dammam Airports across several initiatives, most notably the investment in spaces within the cargo village and logistics services area at King Fahd International Airport to develop a modern logistics center based on the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model. This center will enhance storage and processing capabilities and provide integrated solutions for express shipping and mail. It will also enable the provision of comprehensive postal services within domestic and international departure terminals through dedicated service centers, offering parcel shipping, baggage packaging, and other postal services for travelers. In addition, the center will provide National Address services for airport facilities, including short address, spatial analysis, and customized short address — all aimed at improving operational efficiency and quality.

Eng. Mohammed Al-Hassany, CEO of Dammam Airports, stated that the partnership with SPL marks an important step toward strengthening integration across various transportation sectors. He affirmed Dammam Airports’ commitment to delivering advanced and innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency and enrich the logistics and shipping experience.

For his part, Mr. Rakan Dhaifallah, Vice President of Government and Corporate Sales at SPL, explained that this agreement is part of SPL’s ambitious transformation journey to expand its presence in the logistics and postal sector. He added that SPL now has a comprehensive system of logistical and geospatial enablers, reinforcing its readiness to deliver integrated solutions that empower partners in both the public and private sectors. This also contributes to strengthening the national transport system by improving operational efficiency at airports and key entry points, further positioning the Kingdom as a global logistics hub in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

SPL continues to pursue its strategic objectives to become the leading entity and preferred strategic partner for government and private sectors, as a national operator distinguished by its advanced capabilities in postal services and logistics enablers across the region.
