Repercussions of breaching the commitment between the service provider and the beneficiary

Consequences of violating or not implementing the obligations by the service provider

  1. SPL is not responsible for any damage or destruction to the shipment due to inappropriate packaging according to SPL policy and regulations which was issued after the royal decree no. (), date ().
  2. SPL is not responsible for the delivery delay of the shipment or its destruction due to incorrect information about the shipment content in the service contract, the sender is responsible for all the damages in case he/she didn’t provide enough documents or provided incorrect information.
  3. SPL is fully responsible for the content of parcel/s shipped by SPL, and also responsible for any consequences according to the terms and rules of the service, Link ()
  4. For safety reasons, SPL prohibits shipping the following hazardous items: (firearms, ammo, swords and knives, explosives, incendiary, flammable and toxic materials, compressed gases) and any restricted items by other parties.
  5. Saudi Post – SPL is not responsible for the shipment and will not accept the customer complaint after receiving the shipment and leaving the office.
  6. We may come across some delays beyond our control in delivering the shipment on time due to customs procedures or delays in international shipping for any reason, Saudi Post will make sure to deliver the shipment to its destination according to international standards and delivery schedule.
  7. The customer has the right to compensation if the shipment is fully or partially lost or destroyed according to UPU and EMS agreements and the service terms and rules.
  8. Saudi Post responsibility of the shipment is suspended when deposited to the destination country customs, the customer (recipient) then is responsible for the shipment to fulfil the customs requirements.
  9. It is within the right of the customer to inquire about the shipment after depositing the item/s.

 

  • Saudi Post – SPL is not responsible when the shipment storage period ends (destroy or confiscate postal items that ended its storage period)
  • Saudi Post - SPL is not responsible if the shipment is confiscated due to the national regulation of the destination country (governments or governmental agencies)
  • The customer will not be qualified for compensation in case the customer didn’t enquire about the shipment within 6 months since the shipping date (UPU).

The service is subject to the terms and rules according to the compensation policy which adheres to the UPU agreement. The compensation doesn’t include indirect impact or in the case of extraordinary circumstances according to the service terms and rules.
