Saudi Post (SPL) has announced its operational readiness for the 1447 AH Hajj season through an integrated logistics and postal ecosystem, mobilizing its human and technical capabilities to provide high-quality services for pilgrims, enhance operational efficiency, and elevate the pilgrim experience across all stages of their journey.
SPL is participating this year in its logistical role in the Makkah Route Initiative, one of the Ministry of Interior initiatives under the Pilgrim Experience Program and one of the Saudi Vision 2030 programs. The initiative is being implemented for the eighth year in cooperation with government partners across 10 countries through 17 international entry points, within an integrated operational model. It aims to facilitate pilgrims’ journeys from their departure from initiative lounges in their home countries until their arrival at their accommodations in Makkah and Madinah.
SPL handles the tagging and coding of pilgrims’ luggage in designated initiative lounges at airports in beneficiary countries through specialized teams, and its transport to their accommodations in the Kingdom. This ecosystem relies on a range of advanced services that begin with tagging and sorting luggage according to transport and accommodation arrangements in Makkah and Madinah regions.
SPL provides its services with a workforce of more than 565 trained employees working around the clock, supported by a logistics fleet of over 100 trucks and 65 vehicles dedicated to parcel transport, enhancing operational efficiency and improving the quality of services provided. This comes as part of a package of advanced and innovative services that meet pilgrims’ needs, including the delivery of Nusuk cards, Hady and Adahi vouchers, the “Hajj Without Luggage” service, and pilgrims’ parcels, in addition to official mail, commercial publishing, and healthcare solutions services, supporting service sectors during the Hajj season.
